Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some of the questions our clients can often ask. If you have any other queries, please do call us on 01749 812721, or email [email protected]

A. Our dedicated team in the UK office can help with any specific questions. Our location specialists regularly visit the villas and explore the local destinations, so you can speak to someone who has seen the properties first hand. Contact our team via telephone or email – we’re always happy to help!
A. You will find an indication on price on the webpage for each individual villa, either as a price range or a scale rating. Calendars can also be found on the individual villa webpage, but you might find some are hidden – in this instance you’ll just need to reach out to our team who will be able to send you the availability directly. For accurate quotes and dates, it’s always best to call or email our team.
A. A 30 – 50% (depending on the property) deposit is required to secure the dates, with the remaining balance due 10 weeks prior to the departure date. Any bookings made within the 10 weeks prior window will require payment in full to secure the dates. Payments can be made by bank transfer or online via our Stripe payment facility.
A. The changeover days vary from property to property – some are fixed and some are flexible. The majority of the changeovers are on Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday, with Saturday and Monday being most common in Greece, and Saturday most common in Italy, France and Croatia. There is often much more flexibility during the shoulder seasons too. Please let us know if you have a preference on changeover day when you enquire and we will do our best to work with this.
A. Our minimum booking length is 7 nights, and there is no set maximum booking term. If you’re looking to stay for two or more weeks we highly recommend booking early where possible to avoid disappointment. During high season, bookings must be in weekly increments unless otherwise specified, but during the quieter low season months owners may be more flexible and allow a 10-night stay for example. Its very case-by-case so just let a member of our team know what you’re ideally looking for and we will do our best to help!
A. We aren’t able to help book flights but we are happy to help suggest the best airports to fly in to and talk through the logistics of it all with you too. You will be appointed a booking representative based in our UK office who will be your point of contact during the lead up to your holiday, so they will be able to answer any questions you might have.
A. The rental prices include the use of the villa and grounds/amenities as stipulated on the individual property’s webpage on our website. The rates may also include domestic services such as cleaning or a cook – the specifics of these vary from house to house, and so you’ll find exact details on the webpage for the house, or by requesting further information from a member of our team.
A. On the whole you can request these additional services and often more, but it does depend on the location of the property and the staffing structure available there specifically as to whether any additional services can be provided. Please ask a member of our team and we can look in to any special requests on your behalf. Please note these services will be payable additionally and in some cases locally, in the locally currency (cash).
A. Of course, please just make your rep aware and we can look in to this for you.
A. For most of our properties we would recommend hiring a car, even if its just a small run-around to make life easier whilst you’re enjoying your holiday. For Paxos bookings, our team on the island will be in touch before you travel to help book car hire, and they will put you in touch with our recommended companies on the island to make the booking. It’s often easier to have the hire car delivered to your villa and then we can help with private transfers to meet you at the airport and take you straight to the house. We operate in a similar way in Corfu too, and then for our other destinations it is a little more case-by-case, as in some locations such as Italy its often easier and cheaper to book through the main providers that operate out of the airports such as Europcar/Hertz.
A. This varies slightly from house to house, but the standard and most common check in time is 4pm, and check out is by 10am. Please enquire with your booking representative if you wish to know if there is any flexibility available on this.
A. Your booking rep will send you your welcome letter via email roughly 2-3 weeks prior to your departure, and this will contain the contact details for any staff/house managers on the ground, the google coordinates for the property, the name the house is known by locally and any other information you’ll need for your arrival (such as gate codes etc.). If you have any issues/delays on the day, your first point of contact are the staff on the ground at the house as they will best be able to assist. If for any reason you can’t get hold of them, then please contact your Scott Williams booking representative and/or our UK office ([email protected]/01749 812721) so that we can look in to it on your behalf.
A. You must ensure that you are adequately insured to travel to your specific destination. Please see our booking terms and conditions for further information.
A. It is very rare that our villas will allow small pets, but there are a few that do – please ask a member of our team and we can enquire on your behalf.
